Daniel Merson is a filmmaker based in Sydney. His work focuses on how we use public space, social identities and media realities.

Daniel's film 'Prayer' premiered at St Kilda Film Festival 2025 as part of the 'Brave New Worlds' segment on Experimental Australian Cinema. In 2024, Daniel's film 'Stories From The Smoke' was shown as part of 'Homegrown' at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. In 2020 he was a Finalist for the Young Australian Filmmaker of The Year at the Bryon Bay International Film Festival.
