Daniel Merson is a Sydney-based filmmaker whose work lingers in public space, tracing the cultures and conflicts that emerge on the street. 

Daniel's film 'Prayer' premiered at St Kilda Film Festival 2025 as part of the 'Brave New Worlds' segment, and screened at First Draft as part of their 2025/26 screening program. In 2024, Daniel's film 'Stories From The Smoke' was shown as part of 'Homegrown' at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. In 2020, he was a Finalist for the Young Australian Filmmaker of the Year at the Byron Bay International Film Festival.
